Sticks and Stones First Aid Courses

The terms and conditions outlined below are designed to ensure we provide our prospective customers with accurate information, and we are transparent in our communication at all times.

Training

Sticks and Stones First Aid aims to provide helpful and up to date advice to help parents and caregivers build skills and knowledge in basic first aid for babies and children.  We offer a relaxed training environment that is informative and comfortable for customers.  While we make every effort to make sure information is up to date and accurate, the information does not replace professional or medical advice.  Sticks and Stones First Aid is not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and the program offered is non-accredited.   Training does NOT constitute a medical qualification, nor does it replace nationally accredited training in first aid (recommended every 3 years by an RTO).  Sticks and Stones First Aid accepts no responsibility for the subsequent actions of any individuals who complete its training.  Baby & Child First Aid training involves moderate physical activity, including participating in simulating CPR on the floor.  Sticks and Stones First Aid does not accept any responsibility for any harm suffered as result of participating in the training provided.

Course cancellation

Sticks and Stones First Aid reserves the right to cancel or arrange an alternative date for a course.  Under these circumstances, we will endeavour to provide notice of the cancellation to participants and will arrange an alternative session for participants to attend.

Payment

For Baby & Child First Aid courses, a deposit of $50 is required for a private group upfront.  The minimum number of participants is ten (10) people, or groups can choose to cover the minimum spend for a session, which is a total of $500; additional participants are welcome to be added up to the date of training. For private group sessions full payment for the session is due on the last business day before the session (E.g. the Friday before the Sunday booked session). 

For corporate bookings the full amount quoted to the business will be invoiced and due within 14 days of the training completion date.

Cancellations and Refund Policy

Notification of cancellations or requests for a course transfer date must be made to Sticks and Stones First Aid prior to the anticipated course date.  We understand that the unexpected can happen, and we will do our best to find an alternate date for your private or corporate group.  Sticks and Stones First Aid does not offer refunds on booking fees.  No refunds will be given should you change your mind.

Preventing illness

The safety and well-being of our customers is always of importance to Sticks and Stones First Aid.  We have taken appropriate measures to ensure our participants stay safe.  Jayne Hunt is a qualified health professional, fully immunised, and well trained in infection and preventative control measures.  

Measures taken include:

• Manikin skins are removed and disinfected after each training session.

• All equipment is wiped down with disinfectant wipes before and after use.

• Disposable face shields are utilised for rescue breaths to ensure respiratory hygiene.

• Participants are encouraged to perform hand-hygiene throughout the session.

• As part of accepting the terms and conditions of booking a session, participants are aware not to attend if they are showing any signs of illness.

Privacy Policy

Sticks and Stones First Aid is committed to providing quality services o you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your personal information.

We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The NPPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

Acceptance of Terms

You acknowledge that you have read this Agreement and agree to all its terms and conditions.  By proceeding with a booking with Sticks and Stones First Aid, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.  If you do not agree to abide by the terms of this Agreement, you are not authorised to use or access Sticks and Stones First Aids services.
